This site is, in a way, a descendant of the Indianapolis Eye online news magazine, which debuted in October, 2002 and continued until spring of 2004.  I was one of its founders.  The Eye was a weekly update on Indianapolis culture, news, politics, entertainment, and living.  We had great ambitions to put out a weekly print magazine as well, but it was not to be.  Funding ran out, further investment was not forthcoming, so we closed shop.

I never quite gave up on some of the ideas we had, though.  One of the concepts we talked about pursuing, but did not, was to partner with the best bloggers in the city, showcasing their work to a new and hopefully larger audience.

That’s essentially what this site is aiming at.  On the various pages, you’ll find headlines from some of the many blogs being written in Indy.  There are lot of bugs to be worked out yet, so my apologies for that.  Going as fast as I can.  When we did the Indianapolis Eye, we actually had a staff.  Not so these days. ;-)

Meantime:  if you write a blog and would like your headlines featured here, please email me.  Or, if your blog’s headlines are showing up here (i haven’t contacted most of you yet to make sure it’s ok) and you don’t want that, I will remove them post haste upon your notification and you have my advance apologies if you are not happy.

My intent is to provide a showcase for what i think is some of the best information available in the city.  Some bloggers provide amazing, fresh analysis.  Others are doing real reporting, scooping the larger media.  Still others are scouring the net for relevant information to relay.

Generally, i’m just so impressed with all the great content I’m reading, I can’t wait to share it all.  Are y’all cool with that?
